Description:
Start the school year off right by involving parents in creating a
strong school to home connection by using effective visual supports in
both settings. Research shows that students’ are more successful with
goal achievement when there is consistency between school and home. This
session explores activities created with the Boardmaker Software
Family, implementation strategies, resources, recommended
correspondence, and cited research that support the school and home
connection. Participants will leave this session with the tools to
effectively use visual supports to support students and clients in
achieving their academic, behavior, and communication goals at school
and at home.
